WHY TO PARTICIPATE IN
In the framework of drip irrigation sector in Morocco, fairs and business missions are a great opportunity for Italian companies which want to know new opportunities for export and foreign direct investment in farming sector and in particular for drip irrigation in Morocco, that in the last years is increasing thanks to State subsidies.
The goal is organise meetings with suppliers, local buyers of this sector in Morocco.
WHCIH KIND OF COMPANY CAN TAKE PART IN THIS MISSION?
This mission is only for Companies and Producers of:
- drip tubes;
- fertigation systems;
- horizontal and vertical pumping systems;
- fertigation accessories;
- solenoids, pressure gauge, valves, taps and fittings;
- large dimensions storage basins, primary channellings, input pipes for injection;
- pumping stations, in order to artificially pressurise water, filtering stations, measuring and check stations and centralised water control.
OVERVIEW: DRIP IRRIGATION IN MOROCCO
Argi-food and agricultural sectors are strategic sectors for Morocco economy, they represent 14% of the GDP and the engine for employment increase in Morocco.
In the last 15 years Morocco economy has strongly increased with an average of around 4.5% due especially to agricultural sector, 40% of the population work in this sector. It represents an important asset for social cohesion and indirectly for political stability.
Rationalise and decrease water production for every agricultural goal is one of the key points of “NATIONAL PLAN MAROC VERT” (PMV), in 2008 this plan was created to a public investment of 10 billion euro by 2020, divided into infrastructural investments and subsidies to farmers, with several strategic plans and development projects, subsidies to modernise Morocco agricultural sector.
This plan also provides a program called “National program for water economy and irrigation” (PNEEI)”, created by the Ministry of agriculture and fishery; this program provided from 2008 to 2020, the conversion of surface irrigation through drip irrigation on a surface of 555.000 hectares for agriculture, with a budget of 3.5 billion euro..
The correct execution and the coordination public/private essential for and efficient execution of the program (PNEEI) has been entrusted to a network of national bodies, these bodies are placed in different zones of Morocco and have been created and activated with a specific purpose in 2008 during its launch.
PMV results form 2008 to now: 70% has been achieved, 9.3% of growth compared to 4.3 at national level; moreover private investments in agricultural sector from 2008 to now have increased 10 times.
PNEEI results: also its goals for water economy and irrigation (PNEEI) have achieved the goal for 65% converting 365.000 of 555.000 forecasted hectares with drip irrigation.
MISSION GOALS:
This mission has a personalised agenda, in order to allow to Italian producers of supplies and drip irrigation systems to have useful meetings with main local buyers and distributors selected according to needs of their companies. In this way it will be possible to create working relation of supply and trade co-operations between the parts.
This mission will be an occasion for companies to collect important information on the structure of local market, products, technologies and most needed systems in Morocco. Moreover it will be possible to collect strategic information on value for money policies exercised by competitors which are mainly Spanish, followed by Italians, Germans. Especially for future investments projects in Morocco.
The mission will be also an occasion to enter partnership agreements with Moroccan companies in order to participate in agriculture international fairs that will take place during the year.
Morocco territory hosts two of the most important agriculture international fairs. Which are:
- THE INTERNATIONAL FAIR OF FRUITS AND LEGUMES, from 3 to 6 DECEMBER 2015 in AGADIR
- INTERNATIONAL FAIR OF AGRICULTURE in MOROCCO SIAM, form 28 april to 3 may in MEKNES
GENERAL PROFILE OF COMPANIES THAT CAN PARTICIPATE IN THIS MISSION:
This trade mission is reserved only to producers of technologies, systems, supplies for drip irrigation.
SECTORS IN DETAIL
PLANTS FOR DRIP IRRIGATIONS AND ACCESSORIES:
- dripping tubes;
- fertigation system (cisterns, injection kits, fertilisation injectors);
- Horizontal and vertical pumping systems;
- accessories for drip irrigation (pipe couplings, T, junction, adaptors, collars);
- Valves taps and fittings for drip irrigations;
- Solenoids for drip irrigation;
- monitoring systems such as manometers etc…;
- glues and adhesive substances for drip plants;
- nozzles;
PRIMARY PLANTS INFRASTRUCTURE:
- Companies specialised in infrastructures for correct water distribution, for agricultural areas and farmers from irrigated areas;
- Wide storage basins, primary canalisations, pumping stations for artificial pressurisation, filtering stations, measuring and check stations;
PREPARATORY ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT BY OUR ORGANISATION
Our company in co-operation with our Moroccan partner, has set a database with a list of many contacts and trade operators, such as importers, sellers, designers, technicians, users, from private and public sectors. These contacts have been verified.
Every operator have been classified according to the following elements:
- Economic strength in Morocco;
- class and dimensions of the company;
- level of interest for a partnership or to purchase products and italian technology;
- when they need to be supplied;
- geographical coverage and territories where that can be influenced;
- brand reputation;
- management and structural efficiency, economic solidity, trade strength, human and technological resources to ensure post-sale services essential to establish sale partnerships;
- trade information about operators: social capital, reference contact, position of the company ( importer, producer, designer, installer, private/public customer), address, telephone, access market, products kind, customers portfolio, competitors brands and products.

NON-COMPETITION PLAN
Our organisation ensures that it will be allowed only one company for every category of product.
ACTIVITIES IN THE FIELD AND TRADE MISSION
Every company that will participate in will set 4 daily appointments , 2 appointments in the morning at 9:00 and 2 in the afternoon.
- Sunday 18 October 2015 ARRIVAL IN CASABLANCA ;
- Monday 19 October 2015 B2B appointments according to personalised agenda;
- Tuesday 20 October 2015 B2B appointments according to personalised agenda
- Wednesday 21 October 2015 B2B appointments according to personalised agenda;
- Thursday 22 October 2015 B2B appointments according to personalised agenda
- Friday 23 October 2015 RETURN IN ITALY.
During the arrival and return day in Morocco there will be working sessions.
SERVICES ENSURED DURING THE MISSION
From Monday to Thursday during our stay and during appointments will be ensured:
- Car for movements from 8:00 to 20:00 with our trilingual co-operators (Italian, French, Arab) that prepared the agenda of appointments of your company. These appointments will take place in the Moroccan company or in our offices if the company is outside CASABLANCA.
During your arrival and departure will be ensured:
- Welcome at the airport in Casablanca and entourage at every hour during the departure;
- Car with driver to move in the city from 8:00 to 20:00 for every activity, also for tourism (during arrival and departure days there won’t be appointments);
We kindly ask to companies to set arrival and departure hours from 8.00 to 22:00.
STAY
Every responsible that will take part in this mission will stay in an elegant accommodation, private apartment in the city centre, camera with a king size bed, living room, bathroom, in one of the best residences in Casablanca. There will be every comfort necessary.
It will be ensured an apartment for every company with a maximum of 2 people per company, we will give you an apartment with two single beds in case of 2 people. However, we can not ensure this substitution in every case. There is the possibility to have another apartment spending 70 euros more per night. In every case, during the mission only two guests will be accepted .
MONEY TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS MISSION
You need 1.650 euro to participate in this mission by the 21st September 2015.
By the 30th September 2015 companies will have to send us their profiles in order to select suitable economic operators according to trade goals.
The agenda of B2B meetings will be available for companies that participate in this mission by the 15th October 2015.
Money needed to participate don’t include flight ticket nor food.
Flight tickets bought by participants will have to include health care and luggage insurances.
